INAUGURATION... President Obama!

Today is the day we have been waiting for.
Some for 8 years, some for 45 years, some for a lifetime.

Today, we have a new President who will represent all of us. Barack Obama is making his Presidency not about himself, but about the American people. We are all a part of what makes this country great; we are all to take responsibility for doing our best toward freedom, justice, dignity, character, peace and civility.

Today is the start of a new chapter in our history. Every day that came before was "before Obama," and hereafter we are in a the new realm of "after Obama." What a great day!

This past Saturday, The Warner Robins Conference Center on N. Davis Drive, was the scene for an Inaugural Ball. Over 200 attended the event, complete with dinner, drinks, live music, silent auction, dancing and FUN. This facility will be perfect for our future larger meetings, fundraisers and conferences. (478/922-2112 for more information or reservations)
NEXT MEETING of the Middle GA Democratic Women's Club is Saturday, February 21st (10am at Chef Audrey's Bistro & Cafe on Watson Blvd in Warner Robins). Speaker, TBA. Spread the word, keep everyone engaged in this reborn Democracy of ours, and be a part of the CHANGE.

JANUARY MEETING

Join us Saturday, January 17th at 10am at Chef Audrey's Bistro & Cafe for brunch ($8 pp), and planning. PLEASE BRING your 2009 calendar and be prepared to share your wish list of activities, field trips and fundraisers for the coming year.
I'd love for us to visit the Carter Center in Atlanta as one outing.
And if there is enough interest, perhaps we can visit a Legislative session at the Capitol.
Let us know what YOU'd like to see this group do, and where you think our time is best spent. This is FOR YOU... so please come to network and share your ideas and creativity for a prosperous New DEMOCRATIC Year!
